Leagus​

LEAGUS is an experimental duo from Sápmi - Norway, based in Tromsø. In the meeting between pianist, Herborg Rundberg, and guitarist, Kristian Svalestad Olstad, music is created on the fringes between contemporary, traditional and modern improvisation.

The name LEAGUS is Sami slang for asking about something, an expression from Herborg's home region of Kåfjord in Nord-Troms. Her Sami background, basic training as a classical pianist, and work with traditional Sami music, together with Kristian's extended use of the guitar and electronics combine to set the conditions for new creativity.

They possess a very dynamic expressivity in which contrast plays a major role.
